      SickKids Foundation leads the fight for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), recently ranked the number one paediatric hospital in the world by Newsweek. Celebrating 50 years of philanthropic impact in 2022, SickKids Foundation is the largest charitable funder of child health research, learning and care in Canada, benefitting the health of children and their families across the country and around the world. Thanks to our donors, last year, SickKids Foundation raised over $205 million from individuals, companies, events and community groups from throughout the Greater Toronto area and beyond. As a national charity, SickKids Foundation also invests in national and international initiatives to benefit children in Canada and around the world.

It is within this context that SickKids Foundation is seeking a new Vice President, Major Gifts.

      DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION :

      At SickKids Foundation, we believe in the power of partnerships to drive meaningful change and inspire philanthropic support of our mission. We are a dynamic and visionary organization dedicated to inspiring communities to invest in health and scientific advances to improve the lives of children and their families in Canada and around the world. As the Vice President, Major Gifts, and Gift & Estate Planning will serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team at SickKids Foundation and will contribute to the organization’s strategies, plans and successes. You will be also responsible for strategically guiding the growth of a significant revenue portfolio at SickKids Foundation: the Major Gift and Gift and Estate Planning programs, which typically delivers over $88 Million in cash annually. A key focus within this team will be the development of new opportunities at all levels including, transformational gift opportunities, which are defined as >$5 Million. At the same time, the Vice-President, Major Gifts will guide a team of fundraisers in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding prospects and donors who provide support at the $50,000+ level and confirming and stewarding bequests in support of the Hospital for Sick Children. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Vice-President, Major Gifts & Gift and Estate Planning will have a unique opportunity to provide leadership, develop strategy, and drive SickKids towards greater success in the next planned comprehensive campaign.
