      Job Title: Warehouse Lead
      Department: Production
      Reports To: Supervisor

      Shift: Dayshift Monday - Friday
      Payrate: $19.50 per hour


      Summary:
      The working Warehouse Lead will perform tasks associated with the process of producing a quality product. Warehouse Lead will be responsible for finding coverage for call offs, maintaining training packets (not doing the training, just filing/organizing the packets), some misc. administrative tasks.
      This may require working on many different tasks during a working shift. We are seeking candidates from all levels of light industrial fields including warehouse operators, forklift, picking/packing, shipping/receiving, machine operation and maintenance. Individuals should have a commitment to safety and producing quality products. Training will be provided and opportunities for advancement exist.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Operating vehicles, mechanized devices, or powered equipment, such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and passenger vehicles.
      • Meet production and quality expectations set forth by site management.
      • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of packaged products to standards.
      • Monitor equipment indicators and product specifications to ensure conformance to production, processing, and quality standards.
      • Monitor the packaging line, watching for problems such as product backing up or jams.
      • Inspect materials, products, and equipment to detect non-conforming materials and/or poor packaging.
      • Correctly fill and label packages, skids, and boxes.
      • Loading and/or unloading.
      • Stack finished packaged items and wrap using automated equipment.
      • Perform data entry as required.
      • Stock product for packaging machine operator and replenish packaging supplies.
      • Maintain housekeeping
      • Other miscellaneous tasks may be assigned.

      Qualifications:
      • HS Diploma or GED required
      • Previous industrial manufacturing experience preferred
      • Candidates must be safety oriented and have a general understanding of OSHA requirements
      • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written work instructions is a must

      This position is located in an industrial environment, and all employees are expected to follow safety rules, meet production expectations, and uphold quality standards
      • Operators are expected to work overtime when required, including holidays and weekends
      • Candidates cannot begin an assignment without successful drug screening & background screening.

      Physical Demands:
      While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand; is rarely required to sit; is regularly required to use both hands to make coordinated movements to grasp, manipulate; is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, push, pull, balance, bend, stoop, talk or hear; is regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting technique is required. Employees working or assisting in any of these areas will be required to meet these physical demands.

      Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. Employee is frequently exposed to/utilizing stretch wrapper/palletizer while performing normal work duties. This position requires exposure to manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection is required.
