Job Description
- Req#: WELDE011509
- Reading and understand blueprints and welding drawings
- Measure and cut material to specifications
- Weld materials using the correct material to join the metals together
- Set-up components for welding according to specifications
- Perform MIG welding according to specifications (horizontal, vertical, and overhead)
- Identify and use proper welding hand tools and equipment
- Position parts using clamps and tack welds
- Complete quality inspection of welds
- Repair welds, holes and metal parts as needed
- Complete production requirements while ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- While not required, some exposure to MIG welding is highly desired
- Also not required, but highly desired, is experience in a manufacturing environment
- Willing to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Willing to learn both concepts and techniques of MIG welding
***New Welding Training Program*** Wastequip has an exciting new opportunity for those interested in learning to weld. We will soon begin our next welder training program and are looking for candidates that are interested in a welding career. This opportunity will be located in our Erial, NJ manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn to MIG weld and work in a fast-paced production environment.
The program begins on 8/12/2024.Program Length: 4 weeks
Training hours: 6:00AM to 2:30PM, 5 days/week
