- Assist with the development of procedure qualifications for welding including program qualification work for both technology and technicians.
- Support of the wire direct energy disposition cell, die repair cell, and/or NDE program
- Two completed years or Junior standing in a Weld Engineering or Weld Technology Bachelor’s program
- Independent worker with strong self-management and problem-solving skills, who can demonstrate learning agility
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective collaborator with strong communication skills
- Strong technical writing skills
- Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a 90 day head hair drug test today.

Weld Engineering Internship
Scot Forge Company is looking to hire a Weld Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2026 at the corporate facility in Spring Grove, IL. A Weld Engineering internship at Scot Forge will provide a variety of experiences and exposure to the manufacturing industry and welding engineering profession. This intern will be supporting the weld engineering and metallurgy team through their daily tasks and projects.
