  Key Qualifications

  • WiFi driver SW development
  • WiFi protocol and 802.11 standard
  • Embedded Linux programming
  • Proven excellence in Software development, with deep understanding of ARM architecture and RTOS concepts
  • Deep understanding of data structures, object-oriented design, and system architecture in an embedded environment
  • Strong software engineering skills including design, programming (using C, C++), scripting (Python preferred, Perl) and debugging
  • In-depth understanding and strong hands-on experience on 802.11 technologies and standards
  • Proficient understanding of TCP/IP suite of protocols
  • Experience with versioning and automation tools, such as git or unit testing
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, particularly with technical content.
  • Highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results

  Description

  We are seeking talented, highly motivated, and disciplined engineers to join a best-in-class team that plays a significant part in the development of WiFi products and ecosystems by engaging in a very collaborative and dynamic environment. The position involves identifying and developing core technologies that innovates WiFi use cases and solves everyday problems for customers. You will be required to work effectively in spite of ambiguity and dynamics in the requirements. You will also be required to make educated and intelligent choices between several contradictory factors such as ease of use, performance and efficiency.

  Education & Experience

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Masters Degree is preferred.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
    
    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
