      Job Description:

      Location: KEW Vineyards Estate Winery

      Arterra Wines Canada is Canada’s leading producer and marketer of award-winning, globally recognized Canadian and imported wines. Winery Associates are responsible for providing consistent, outstanding hospitality to all visitors by providing an overall entertaining and informative tour and tasting experiences for each individual or group of visitors with the ultimate goal of achieving sales. Ideal candidates for the Winery Associate position at KEW will have experience in the hospitality industry, with wine knowledge being an important asset. Our chosen candidates must be energetic, personable, upbeat and responsible. Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends. Multiple positions available.

      Duties/Responsibilities/Procedures:

      • Assisting customers with wine tasting and purchases
      • Conducting entertaining and informative tours of the winery, including performing structured tastings for tour groups
      • Providing exceptional and professional customer service
      • Use a computer-operated point-of-sale system and perform opening and closing duties
      • Assisting with special events
      • Representing the winery at offsite events
      • Stocking wine and giftware
      • Performing general housekeeping duties

      Job Requirements:

      • Smart Serve Certification
      • Background in the Hospitality or Customer Service sector
      • Basic understanding of wines in the region and the winemaking process, however training will be available
      • Passionate about learning the world of wine

      Welcomed Skills and Education:

      • We welcome additional educational certification from the wine industry including but not limited to:
      • WCO Certification
      • WSET Certification
      • Sommelier Certifications (from any number of bodies leading this training)
      • First Aid Certification

      Compensation: $17/hr+ gratuities/incentives
