Job Description

- Should be capable of understanding system requirements and able to design test cases.
- Able to understand test bench configurations.
- Perform system & software testing primarily focused on HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Commitment to quality and high standards.
- Requirement reviews & clarifying open points.
- Follow client process norms and define the Test strategy and Test Plan.
- Guide the junior associates of a 4–5-member test teamAct as customer interface in weekly/monthly status meetings.
- Able to support debugging defects found in the software components.
- Good exposure to requirement-based test case writing.
- Automotive system knowledge (ECU, Sensors, Software, Actuators) and technical mindset.
- Should have experience in scripting language – CAPL/Python (Experience in Tcl/Tk scripting is an added advantage).
- Good experience using vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANape.
- Should have good experience using dSPACE tools such as ControlDesk, and AutomationDesk (Experience in IPG CarMaker is an added advantage).
- Knowledge of automotive protocols such as UDS and CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
- Sound analytical skills and identifying the correct root cause of the failure.
- Able to create automated test sequences in the HIL environment.
- Ability to work with 3rd party vendors in triaging and root causing production issues.
- Experience in test automation.
- Should have good communication skills.
- Able to create validation reports.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas.
- Should have good analytical and logical skills.
- Knowledge of HIL setup like DSpace, ETAS – Labcar, VT Systems, and Provetech.
- Good knowledge of CAN/LIN protocol.
- Knowledge of ASPICE.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262.

Overview
As a HIL testing engineer, you will be part of a software quality assessment team who would understand system-level requirements for the features like BCM, ADAS, Chassis, Infotainment, Telematics, Powertrain etc. and to validate system-level software components. As part of this role, you will be interacting with group-level product owners and leads to deliver test reports as per ASPICE level 3.
