We have an opportunity for an XML SME to support the front-line aircrew through the development of advanced Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs). This position can be fully remote.


      Responsibilities for this role include:

      • Management of large-scale government and military projects with an emphasis in XML-based standards such as MIL-STD-3001 and S1000D
      • Planning, tasking, reviewing, and delivering of new and existing XML, PDF, and Microsoft Word publication products with various publication standards (S1000D, MIL-STD-3001, MIL-DTL-87129)
      • Developing and maintaining in-house platform guidelines and team notes to ensure authoring consistency for each project managed
      • Troubleshooting S1000D schema and MIL-STD-3001 Documentation Type Definition/Formatting Output Specification Instance (DTD/FOSI) authoring issues
      • Performing final Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of all technical manual products prior to delivery to customers. QA reviews include verifying proper incorporation of Government-furnished source data, verifying compliance with all applicable publication specifications/standards, project business rules, formatting preferences, Global updates, etc.
