The Office Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare agency, particularly in the home health/hospice department. This position is responsible for managing administrative tasks that support patient care and enhance the overall efficiency of the office. The Office Assistant will serve as a point of contact for patients and their families, providing essential information and assistance. By maintaining organized records and facilitating communication among staff, the Office Assistant contributes to a compassionate and effective care environment. Ultimately, this role is vital in helping our team deliver high-quality home health/hospice services to those in need.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Familiarity with home health/hospice care practices and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings for healthcare staff and patients.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and maintain office supplies inventory.
