Supervisory Medical Support Assistant

The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant with the Robley Rex VAMC Business Office at the Greenwood Community Based Outreach Clinic. The incumbent performs duties related to the receipt, intake, and indexing of health and administrative information.

Duties

Supervisory MSA's are responsible for answering questions for lower graded staff relating to healthcare services in an inpatient or outpatient setting. They monitors work assignments, provides evaluations of employee performance, resolves daily workplace issues, maintains efficient workflow, and creates a positive work environment. Supervisory MSAs at this level plan and direct programs at medical centers and/or satellite outpatient clinics and have full supervisory responsibility for supervising at least one subordinate team leader or supervisor.
