      BRG is seeking Summer Associates to join the Corporate Finance – Turnaround & Restructuring practice in our New York office. This is an 8-week internship beginning Summer 2027. Candidates must have an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.

      Overview

      BRG’s Corporate Finance practice provides strategic, operational, and financial advisory services to private equity firms, management teams, boards of directors, lenders, and investors supporting companies that are underperforming or undergoing transition. Our professionals are hands-on, results-oriented, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that maximize enterprise value.

      Our team has experience across multiple industries including retail, consumer products, healthcare, financial services, energy, and technology. In addition to advisory work, BRG provides interim leadership and surge support to organizations facing complex financial and operational challenges.

      Summer Associates join engagement teams as entry-level analysts and gain exposure to a variety of consulting assignments including Turnaround & Restructuring, Performance Improvement, and Finance Excellence initiatives.

      Responsibilities

      • Support client engagements through financial modeling, research, and presentation development
      • Assist in building and analyzing 13-week cash flow models, three-statement models, and scenario analyses
      • Collaborate with BRG professionals, client teams, and external stakeholders to achieve engagement objectives
      • Assist in preparing client deliverables including reports, analyses, and presentations
      • Participate in internal initiatives including business development, marketing efforts, and practice development
      • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and commitment to high-quality client service

      Qualifications

      • Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with professionals across levels of seniority
      • Intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and adaptability
      • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5

      Hourly range: $35-40/hr

      Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship now or in the future.
