What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and adjust student loan balances, process payments, and conduct reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while providing superior customer service
- Access and gather data from multiple databases for reporting and auditing purposes
- Assist with processing Direct Loan Consolidations and other operational requests
- Maintain high levels of privacy and security for customer information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma required
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in administrative support within the accounting, banking, lending, or student loan industry
- Minimum of 12 months of computer experience in a business environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
- Must reside within a 75-mile radius of Hendersonville, TN
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
- 12 months of experience working on a student loan contract
- 12 months of experience in a call center environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote)
- Experience in payment processing or performing accounting functions
