      Starting from £61,000 + commission + car allowance + fantastic benefits

      This is a complex strategic account management role dealing with our largest UKI Strategic Account clients primarily at board level. There is a high degree of negotiating that will often involve influencing decisions directly and via third parties. There is a responsibility to draw upon, utilise and engage significant internal resource in order to achieve demanding retention and cross sale targets.

      The role is responsible for defining, planning and executing the Corporate Sales strategy for their portfolio of accounts and to work collaboratively with the other Bupa UK market units and functions to deliver the growth within all lines of business (Dental, Cash Plan, Travel and Clinics products/services). The role will ensure distribution activities are of sufficient quality, satisfy customer needs meet regulatory standards, fall within risk appetite and always deliver fair customer outcomes.

      How you’ll help us make health happen:

      • Build and retain commercially successful relationships with client contacts at all levels (but primarily senior/board level) that deliver business targets including growth of the B2B customer base through acquisitions and retention (Sales P & L), revenue, contribution, registration and lives as set out in the Commercial strategy for Corporate. This covers all product lines incl CDTI. Document strategy to return client to positive contribution where needed.
      • Based on a comprehensive understanding of the needs of large UK employers and the healthcare market generally, create strategic & operational plans with prioritised outcomes that meet customer needs and deliver corporate engagement and loyalty across your portfolio.
      • Consult on total health strategy. Present the full portfolio of Bupa products and services in a seamless and integrated way to meet the client’s requirements, whilst working in a tripartite arrangement with the intermediary.
      • Ensure the Corporate Account Manager (where assigned) supports
        • MI analysis and meeting pack preparation/delivery
        • Supporting/attending/leading clients meetings and events (virtual and face-to-face)
        • Collaboration with AD in attributing client work/requests/deliverables
        • Building a strong network of contacts across UKI, including service, finance, marketing, proposition, marketing and MI Analytics team to name just a few.
      • Identify opportunities for non-PMI products and services to position Bupa as the sole provider of Healthcare services to client base working in partnership with the specialist teams.
      • Manage and develop short, medium and long term prospect pipelines utilising segmentation tools and CRM
      • Build and establish credibility to influence/succeed in complex and negotiation through demonstrating sound commercial knowledge.
      • Liaise with and influence internal service providers to ensure proactive account management, delivery of customer solutions and achievement of customer objectives.

      Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

      • Significant experience and proven ability to manage B2B Sales / Account Management Teams in Financial Services organisation/s in a health care sector.
      • Proven experience of building and maintaining strong, long lasting customer relationships and maximising business opportunities through B2B.
      • Strong determined communicator and negotiator with experience of corporate level/board level selling, persuasion and negotiation
      • In depth knowledge of successfully increasing revenue, profits and growth within B2B in a regulated environment such as the healthcare market.
      • Track record of ‘treating customers fairly’ and delivering compliant sales within a regulatory environment is key.
      • Resilience and confidence in own and Bupa’s ability to succeed
      • Acts ethically and honestly in all dealing with customers and colleagues building compliance, authenticity and trust.
      • Demonstrates necessary gravitas to be viewed externally as the voice of Corporate distribution in Bupa.
      • Capable of representing Bupa at various external forums
