  Adjunct Instructor of Sports Administration

  Carroll University seeks to hire an Adjunct Instructor of Sports Administration
  for the Fall 2026.

  Course: SPD 406 A – Sport Marketing and Finance

  T, TH 2:00-3:50 pm

  This course investigates principles and processes in sport marketing and sales. The main focus will be on research and development, sport promotion, sport sponsorship, advertising, merchandising, and distribution of sporting goods. This course will also provide students with an understanding of the basic concepts that underlie financial management and an ability to apply these concepts to the analysis of financial issues within the sport industry.

  Qualifications: Graduate degree in discipline. Official transcripts due upon hire.

  The Program - The curriculum in sports administration is designed to prepare students for careers of leadership in the field of sports administration. During the course of study, sports administration students gain expertise for multi-faceted sports careers in the fields of facilities management, information technology, and front office administration. The program provides students the opportunity to garner knowledge and develop skills through coursework and mentorship experience within the sport industry.

  The College: The College of Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through seven departments: Athletic Training, Human Movement Sciences, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, and Public Health. The mission of the College of Health Sciences is to educate students to be innovative professionals who collaborate to serve the health needs of their communities. The College of Health Sciences currently accounts for ~60% of University enrollment. A dynamic and growing entity, College wide foci include interprofessional education and practice, the integrated approach to health, innovative learning and healthcare technologies, community partnerships and service to medically underserved populations. To support these initiatives the University has recently renovated a medical arts building to house and support its service learning and Community Health Service programs and partnered with the Waukesha Free Clinic at Carroll University. The College supports the interdisciplinary nature of health science education and has received federal and private foundation grant awards to support these, as well as program specific initiatives.
