      The Department of Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW), is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient and outpatient pediatric pain management service team. We are comprised of a group of dedicated, nationally, and internationally renowned faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

      Position Highlights:

      • Work in an interdisciplinary team with physicians, psychologist and other care team members
      • Clinical activities include inpatient acute pain consult services, interdisciplinary intake evaluations, outpatient therapy with a primary focus on cognitive behavioral and family systems approaches, biofeedback, collaboration with schools, group therapy, collaboration with health care providers, and care coordination.
      • Chronic pain and headache clinics: treat youth with a wide range of pain problems including headaches, abdominal pain, post-concussive syndrome, complex regional pain syndrome, myofascial pain, autonomic disorders, and generalized pain associated disability.

      About Children’s Wisconsin:

      Children’s Wisconsin is a 306 bed, tertiary care center that has 10 ranked Children’s Specialties in the most recent national U.S. News rankings. Our freestanding hospital is dedicated solely to the care of children. Children’s Wisconsin is part of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Campus, along with the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital. It is a major teaching affiliate of the Medical College and is affiliated with several schools of nursing. Children’s Wisconsin is one of the busiest pediatric hospitals in the country. It is a Level I Trauma Center and houses 13 inpatient units including a 72-bed pediatric intensive care unit, a 69-bed Level IV neonatal intensive care unit and an eight-bed Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring unit.

      The Jane B. Pettit Pain & Headache Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is a nationally recognized pain program specializing in the evaluation and treatment of youth with chronic pain conditions and headaches.
