      Overview

      A warm, busy, fully staffed family in the Smyrna/Marietta area is seeking an experienced and highly organized Lead Nanny/House Manager Hybrid to support the day-to-day operations of their home. This role is primarily household management–focused, with the expectation of stepping into childcare coverage as needed. Start date would ideally be by June 1st or sooner for the right candidate.

      The family has three young children (ages 7, 5, and 3), including a 5-year-old on the autism spectrum who attends ABA therapy. They employ multiple household staff (including nannies and housekeepers) and are looking for a polished, reliable professional who can help oversee logistics, streamline the household, and act as a strong point person in the home.

      The family currently has a long-term Lead Nanny who is expecting a baby. This role will begin with a focus on household management and collaboration, and will naturally transition into more lead coverage and childcare support during her maternity leave.Schedule:

      • Full-time, typically Monday through Friday from 9:00am–5:00pm
      • Flexibility for occasional evenings and/or weekends
      • Option for an alternating Saturday with a weekday off
      • Schedule may shift based on staffing needs, travel, and household demands
      • Family prioritizes two consecutive days off each week

      Responsibilities

      • Assist with coordination and oversight of household staff
      • Manage day-to-day household logistics and operations
      • Support children’s schedules, routines, and transitions
      • Coordinate school, therapy, and activity logistics
      • Maintain household organization, systems, and inventory
      • Provide childcare coverage as needed alongside existing nannies
      • Travel with the family (primarily domestic, with future international travel)
      • Provide occasional overnight care when parents travel
      • Assist with pet-related logistics (3 dogs), including scheduling grooming and vet appointments

      Qualifications

      • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
      • Strong background in house management and/or family assistant roles
      • Experienced with children and comfortable supporting a child with autism/special needs
      • Calm, patient, and able to follow the parents’ lead with structure and discipline
      • Flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a staffed home
      • Professional, reliable, and confident taking initiative
      • Active and engaged; able to support energetic, outdoors-oriented children

      Requirements

      • 5+ years of relevant private home experience
      • Strong verifiable references
      • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
      • Able to commute to the home; family vehicle provided for work use
      • Comfortable around dogs
      • Comfortable swimming and supervising children around water
      • Willing and able to travel and provide overnight care
      • Passport preferred or willingness to obtain

      Salary and Benefits

      • $100,000–$130,000+ annually, depending on experience
      • Full health insurance provided
      • 7 days PTO + 7 days sick time
      • Mileage reimbursement when using personal vehicle
      • $125 overnight fee
      • All travel expenses covered (flights, accommodations, meals, activities)
      • Private bedroom accommodations provided while traveling
