  Job Description – Amazon Connect Engineer (Level 5)

  We are looking for an experienced Amazon Connect Engineer to help design, build, and optimize advanced contact‑center solutions. This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, thrives in autonomy, and has a strong background in complex Amazon Connect implementations. The position is based in the Benelux region, with candidates from the UK and Spain also welcome, and requires occasional monthly travel to Amsterdam.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Own hands‑on development and configuration within Amazon Connect

  • Build, refine, and optimize contact flows, routing logic, and system integrations

  • Develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda with TypeScript or JavaScript

  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK

  • Collaborate with a senior architect to ensure best practices, reusable patterns, and secure designs

  • Troubleshoot production issues and resolve performance challenges

  • Communicate effectively with internal engineering teams

  • Contribute to improvements in CI/CD pipelines and automation

  Required Skills & Experience

  • Two to three years of Experience working with Amazon Connect on complex projects

  • Strong hands‑on development Experience with AWS Lambda (TypeScript/JavaScript)

  • Proficiency with Terraform or AWS CDK for infrastructure automation

  • Good understanding of AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and API Gateway

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently

  • Clear and confident communication skills with technical teams

  Nice to Have

  • Experience with complex telephony or omnichannel customer‑Experience platforms
