      Job Description

      What is the Opportunity?

      We are looking for an Analyst to support in market making and managing risk in assigned Credit books within the RBC Credit business in Europe. This role will also include supporting in pricing and execution of Credit Products, covering clients and internal requirements.

      What will you do?

      • Support in price making, risk management and trading of Credit Products
      • Develop a high degree of competence in all relevant systems, products and markets
      • Support the desk in daily processes to ensure accurate P&L reporting and reduced operational risk
      • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders and clients
      • Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as required and instructed
      • Operate at the highest standards of compliance
      • Understand and align to RBCs core culture and values
      • Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business
      • What do you need to succeed?
      • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
      • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly.
      • Work closely with the head of the desk regarding risk management and risk pricing

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must Have

      • University degree or equivalent
      • Experience in a certified role.
      • Strong numerical, analytical and interpersonal skills with proven of ability to build and maintain relationships.
      • Knowledge and eagerness to learn about the Global Markets environment.
      • Rigorous work ethic, motivation and willingness to invest the time required to meet deadlines while completing assignments accurately.
      • Ability to remain focused whilst working within a busy, pressurised environment.
      • Motivated self-starter and creative team player who is confident and inquisitive with strong communication skills.
      • Knowledge of data analysis methods and techniques and familiarity with programming languages e.g. q and python.
      • Knowledge of Credit and Fixed Income products and markets.
      • Technical knowledge of e-Trading and data capabilities.
      • Technical knowledge of data capture, storage and processing tools and approaches and associated early stage competence in relevant coding languages.
      • Proficient in Microsoft packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.).
