What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage various aspects of the monthly close process, including reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reporting
- Apply knowledge of accrual basis accounting to enter, review transactions, and ensure accurate general ledger management
- Utilize and implement cloud-based accounting tools commonly used by government contractors
- Coordinate engagement phases with supervisors, review workpapers for accuracy, and maintain client communication
- Provide oversight and coaching to staff accountants, supporting their professional development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting or private industry, with experience supporting government contractors preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Unanet required
- Familiarity with cloud-based tools such as Bill.com and Expensify
- Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior CPA firm experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance is a plus
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to collaboration
