      Position Purpose:
      Assists Plant Manager on overseeing daily processing operations emphasizing employee safety, product quality, and teamwork. This helps Plant Manager with overall responsibility of leading Managers for the Production Team, Warehouse Team Maintenance Team, QA/Sanitation Team, Internal Customer Service Team & Internal Sales Force. Efficiently and effectively manage these areas to ensure the safe and timely delivery of high-quality products to market, while ensuring full compliance with local, state and federal regulations and achieving organizational goals.

      Major Functional Responsibilities:
      • Reviews production, quality control, and other reports and statistics to plan and modify production activities.
      • Works with Operations to help plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and achieve greater utilization of labor and materials.
      • Responsible for the safety for all employees under their supervision ensuring safety, enforce safe work practices, correct unsafe conditions, prevent lingering unsafe or unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards, compliance to all USDA, SQF, OSHA, GMP, etc. policies, rules, regulations, procedures, etc.
      • Manages plant staffing including monitoring headcount, labor hours & overtime depending on business needs.
      • Coordinates and implements production planning decisions & changes per procedures and business needs.
      • Works with all Departments to maintain an audit/tour ready facility. Ensures facilities are audit/tour ready in compliance with all pertaining policies and procedures, FDA/USDA/SQF regulations, and customer specifications.
      • Monitors quality, safety, scheduling, personnel, and mechanical status of the plant.
      • Direct and manage plant operations for production.
      • Coordinate and support sales & marketing needs
      • Liaise with customers & sales support to ensure customer satisfaction
      • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
      • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
      • Incorporates organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
      • Provides direction, development, and leadership to production supervisor.
      • Performs other duties as assigned
      • Complies with all policies and standards

      Required Qualifications

      Required Education:
      • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

      Work Experience:
      • 3 - 5 Years : Minimum of three years of experience in food manufacturing management in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry. A minimum of five years of experience managing a significant segment of a large food manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.

      Preferred Qualifications

      Preferred Education:
      • Bachelor's Degree

      Preferred Work Experience:
      • 7 - 10 Years - Minimum of seven years of experience in food manufacturing management in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry. A minimum of five years of experience managing a significant segment of a large food manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.
