What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Enter coded patient visits and charges into the systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and complete claims for commercial insurance companies and government payers
- Address billing rejections and implement necessary corrections
- Follow up on pending claims to ensure timely resolution
- Analyze variance reports to identify trends and report findings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of medical billing experience
- Previous experience entering charges and resolving billing rejections
- Thorough understanding of medical terminology and medical coding
- Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate Degree, diploma, or certificate in medical billing & coding, healthcare management, or a related program
- Two or more years of medical billing experience
- Prior experience with HST is helpful but not required
