- Manage a portfolio of major accounts that have specific potential for Accor’s hotels
- Research new business opportunities for Accor’s hotels with a particular focus on corporate, MICE, and business groups
- Assist in preparation of budget, revenue strategies and sales & marketing plans
- Work on specific strategic and tactical marketing activity for Accor’s hotels
- Implement sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for sales team members
- Investigate / follow up on all major sales leads maintaining an effective trace system to convert potential business and lapsed business
- Work in conjunction with Accor National Sales to identify and target business opportunities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, marketing or similar preferred
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a senior sales capacity
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills
- Proficiency in various IT software systems: Microsoft Office, PMS (Opera Cloud) & CMS
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and inspire teams
- Understanding of some or all hotel market segments and current trends
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members

Company Description
As Associate Director of Sales at Accor’s second largest hotel cluster, you will assist in managing the Sales teams of two large city hotels. Mercure Sydney is a newly refurbished 517 room hotel in the heart of the city. A fun and vibrant team, we value work life balance and team culture equally.
This role has become available due to an internal promotion of our current fabulous ADOS moving to a sister Accor property as Director of Sales & Marketing.
The successful candidate for this role will report directly to the Commercial Director. The Associate Director of Sales will be a key driver in coordinating the sales team using industry best practices and will assist in overseeing a team of 16 amazing team members.
The Associate Director of Sales will also join Accor’s growing NSW Sales community. This presents a significant opportunity for career development and individual growth with the sales community, who are continuously collaborating to grow and find new ways to wow our clients.
