      JOB TITLE: Associate Director, Commercial Development, Transaction Banking Products

      LOCATION: London

      HOURS: Full time

      WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

      About this opportunity

      The Transaction Banking Products team delivers commercial banking solutions to businesses of all sizes, both in the UK and internationally. Our offering spans Trade & Working Capital and Payments & Cash Management. We help businesses manage liquidity, execute payments, optimise cashflow, mitigate risks, and fund trade flows and assets.

      Our business contributes 40% of CIB income, highlighting its strategic importance. We’re at a pivotal moment in our journey, investing significantly in people, data and technology. You’ll join the Commercial Development team, which is responsible for three key strategic pillars:

      • Strategy
      • Product Commercialisation
      • People

      We’re seeking a commercially minded individual who enjoys a varied role and is committed to finding solutions through a hands‑on, problem‑solving approach.

      This is a high-profile role with regular exposure to senior leadership, ideal for a high-performing Associate Director.

      Role Accountabilities:

      The Commercial Development team operates across a wide range of activities. You should be prepared to jump into, and take ownership across, a broad spectrum of work - though your main accountabilities will be:

      • Support the Director on 2030 strategy, business case modelling and funding requests.
      • Assist in monitoring Group Strategic Investment performance, including updates for Accountable Executive.
      • Drive internal and external product commercialisation strategies.
      • Provide support on a wide range of cross-product projects.
      • Face into central initiatives for the wider Transaction Banking team.

      What you’ll need:

      We’re seeking a commercially minded individual who enjoys a varied role and is committed to finding solutions through a hands‑on, problem‑solving approach.

      This is a high-profile role with regular exposure to senior leadership, ideal for a high-performing Associate Director. Ideally you’ll have the following skills and experience:

      • Understanding of Transaction Banking Products (Trade, Working Capital, Payments and Cash Management)
      • Strong communication and storytelling skills
      • Proactive ownership and high accountability
      • A strategic mindset
      • Problem-solver
      • Experience preparing materials for senior executives
      • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, and successfully influence key stakeholders across the organisation
      • stakeholder management skills.
      • Confident with data and technology
      • Experience of interrogating financial data and financial modelling (beneficial but not essential).
      • Experience in business performance management (beneficial but not essential).
