      The Analytical Department in Medicine Development & Supply has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Bioassay team. This role involves aiding the development, validation, and transfer of cell-based potency methods to support various aspects of drug development and manufacturing. As an Associate Scientist, you will gain a comprehensive skill set that is essential for advancing our molecules and your career in the biopharmaceutical industry.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Perform routine cell culture maintenance and generate cell banks.
      • Conduct sample testing in a GMP laboratory according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
      • Contribute to method development by optimizing assay conditions and troubleshooting technical issues with the guidance of senior lab personnel.
      • Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records in electronic notebooks.
      • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate project activities.
      • Contribute to the improvement of assay quality and facilitate the implementation of new technologies.
      • Present data, results, and conclusions at internal and external meetings.

      Why you?

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, or related field
      • 2+ years GM or laboratory experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

      • Ability to handle and maintain various cell lines following aseptic techniques
      • Experience with ELISA or cell-based potency assays
      • Experience designing, troubleshooting, and executing experiments with some supervision
      • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
      • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts effectively
      • Must work well in a collaborative setting
      • Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills
      • Experience performing cell-based potency assays in 96-well format
      • Experience using laboratory automation for liquid handling
      • Knowledge of statistical analysis of experimental results
      • High level of scientific rigor and integrity
      • Strong technical writing skills
      • Ability to interpret analytical results from experiments to troubleshoot and optimize analytical methods
