Job Description

- Matric or equivalent Minimum
- Related Higher qualifications advantageous: e.g. Chemical Operations
- Concern for order, quality and accuracy, a great team player who is able to respect and abide to company rules and regulations.
- Physically fit and able to work long hours and carry 25kg, and (50kgs with assistance)
- Must have the ability to do simple arithmetic calculations
- Working experience in a similar plant advantageous
- Willingness and focus on self -development and contribute positively to teams culture
- Bagging of products into bags. Re-bag and rework damaged bags.
- Rotates with other team members performing the various bagging tasks), weighing/topping up/checking physical specs/sewing and palletizing.
- Opens, cleans equipment when necessary i.e. pipelines, screen replacement, hoppers, mixer and bagging system. Uses hand tools for this spanners, hammer, crowbar etc, pressure cleaner.
- Assists maintenance during stripping of equipment for repair.
- May be required to assists in offloading raw materials (salt/trace) from trucks when required and packing them onto pallets.
- Assisting in other areas of the plant when required, such as warehouse, Phosphate plants, Molasses plant.
- Safety and housekeeping must be a priority – all Safety requirements before, during and after production must be followed and met.

- Shift hours 06:00 - 18:00 and 18:00 - 06:00
