This is a temporary job as a Bank Healthcare Assistant at Elysium Healthcare's Adderley Green facility in Stoke on Trent. Main duties of the job
As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will join the team at Adderley Green to provide care and support to people with neurological conditions. You will utilize your experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker to help these individuals lead a valued and fulfilled life. The role can be challenging at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. However, it is hugely rewarding to see people improve and be able to do something today that they couldn't do last week because of your support. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred services, with the freedom to choose your own shifts through a convenient app.

Whether you’re looking for extra shifts to boost your income or a flexible job that fits around your lifestyle, if you’re an experienced Healthcare Assistant in the UK you can join our staff bank and, after completing a paid two-week induction, you’ll have access to available shifts at Adderley Green in Stoke on Trent, plus the potential future option to work bank shifts regionally at other Elysium services across the region.
There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained.
Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at Adderley Green secured that you want.
Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5 hour standard shifts. As a Healthcare Assistant on our bank you’ll be on a zero hour contract, giving you the freedom to choose which shifts you want to work each week.

You will be working at Adderley Green, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.
The extensive facilities cater for the specific needs of people aged over 18 years who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements. You will working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver truly person-centred services where each individual is at the heart of everything.
Adderley Green offers a full inter disciplinary team to support and enable residents to undergo reviews of their specific and/or changing needs and work towards targeted and monitored goals utilising nationally recognised outcome measures
