      Key Responsibilities:

      • Design and develop BIW fixtures and grippers from concept to detailed design.
      • Evaluate manufacturability of new products and propose design-for-manufacturing solutions.
      • Create and define joining sequences and weld sequences for bodyshop processes.
      • Conduct design reviews, simulation reviews, and support technical buy-offs.
      • Support complex bodyshop stations such as framing, hemming, and advanced assembly systems.
      • Prepare and maintain milestone and project documentation as per Mercedes-Benz standards.
      • Provide effective solutions to manufacturing, tryout, and production issues.
      • Drive continuous improvement by benchmarking against previous product lines as a process planner.
      • Manage project delivery with responsibility for quality, cost, timelines, and innovation.

      Required Skills and Experience:

      • Strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering within the automotive Bodyshop domain.
      • Expertise in BIW fixture and gripper design.
      • Good knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
      • Hands-on exposure to complex bodyshop stations (framing, hemming, etc.).
      • Experience in design validation, simulations, and buy-off processes.
      • Ability to collaborate across functions and solve shop-floor issues effectively.
      • Project management skills with a focus on delivery, quality, and continuous improvement.
      • Written and spoken German language skills.

      Educational Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Automotive / Industrial Engineering.

      Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):

      • Exposure to Mercedes-Benz or Daimler standards and documentation processes.
      • Experience working with global or cross-functional automotive teams.
      • Knowledge of process planning and continuous improvement methodologies.
