Position Description for Burlington School District, Burlington, Colorado
The Burlington School District Board of Education in Burlington, Colorado, is seeking a highly qualified Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position no later than July 1, 2026.
McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the board in identifying and screening the candidates.
Enrollment: 740
Location: Colorado’s East Central Plains, approximately 170 miles east of the Denver-Metro area along Interstate 70 near the Colorado/Kansas border.

The successful candidate must be a values-driven, community-engaged leader that has the background, skills, experience, and abilities essential for leading a small rural school district. Additional Requirements:
Previous superintendent experience preferred.
Selected candidate must possess or qualify for appropriate Colorado licensure
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 plus housing allowance and insurance benefits
