- Graduation from high school or the equivalent
- Two (2) years of clerical experience involving bookkeeping, cashiering, or accounting
- Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered
- Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
- Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six months of hire/transfer and be recertified every year. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment

The City of Henderson announces an examination to create a consideration for hire list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Cash Receipts Clerk in the Department of Finance. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, performs administrative and clerical accounting work of routine difficulty in support of the functions within the Cashiering division of the Finance Department; and performs related work as required.
VACANCY INFORMATION:
· This is a part-time, non-PERS eligible position.
· This position does not qualify for employer-paid benefits, paid time off, wage increases, or union representation
· This position requires enrollment in the City's Alternate Retirement Systems (ARS)
· Work schedule will consist of an average of 19 hours/week. Hours per week may increase or decrease based on Department need
· Work schedule will be Mondays and Tuesday, from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Subject to change at the department's discretion.
· External candidates, probationary full-time, part-time, and temporary City of Henderson employees will start at the first step of the salary range.
