      We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at a fast-paced clinic. In this role, you will perform a variety of administrative and patient care supportive duties within Student Health. You will work closely with the Providers, assisting administrative, medical, and nursing staff to ensure smooth office operations.

      Responsibilities
      • Perform administrative and patient care supportive duties.
      • Assist with registration and ensure smooth office operations.
      • Register and process appointment check-in and check-out in electronic medical record systems.
      • Enter and verify health insurance information and collect payments as necessary.
      • Check patient eligibility for services.
      • Take and record vitals.
      • Schedule appointments for new and returning student patients.
      • Provide routine information regarding Student Health services.
      • Direct patients to assigned areas and other locations upon request.
      Essential Skills
      • 3+ years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
      • Strong communication skills.
      • Team-oriented and motivated to learn.
      • Quick learner.
      • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA.
      • AHA BLS certification.
      Additional Skills & Qualifications
      • Experience in medical assisting and customer service.
      • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
      • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
      Work Environment

      This role is 100% onsite, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The clinic is fast-paced, and candidates are expected to perform all responsibilities from day one, with guidance from current employees for the initial two weeks. The dress code is flexible, allowing scrub tops and bottoms or a clinic t-shirt with scrub pants. Parking is available in the Chem lot, about a 5-7 minute walk to Student Health. We have a week off around winter break, requiring about 24 hours of accrued vacation time to cover non-holiday closures.       Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.89/hr.
