      Job Description

      As a Certified Teacher Assistant, you will work hand-in-hand with our Special Education Teachers and related services professionals in small classrooms serving preschool and elementary-aged children.

      Responsibilities

      • Assist the Teacher in all activities necessary to support student attainment of IEP goals, including
      • Supervises the class when the Teacher must leave the room for a short period of time.
      • Help organize the classroom environment, instructional materials, and schedule to match and maximize learning.
      • Performs all other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Qualifications

      • High School degree or General Education Degree (GED) required.
      • Possession of NYSED TA Continuing Certification or eligible to receive on by the end of the first semester of employment for Level I, Level II or Level III teaching assistant certificates
