      Job Description

      Join a dynamic team focused on Renewable & Utility-Scale Power Projects. As a Civil Engineer, you will provide civil design support for large-scale renewable energy and power delivery projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage facilities. Your role will involve preparing site layouts, grading plans, drainage concepts, and more to ensure successful project execution.

      Responsibilities

      • Provide civil design support for large-scale renewable energy and power delivery projects.
      • Prepare site layouts, grading plans, drainage concepts, access roads, crane paths, and construction logistics for utility-scale developments.
      • Design civil components for equipment foundations and ancillary structures in coordination with electrical and structural teams.
      • Support permitting efforts by contributing technical documentation and responding to agency or environmental requirements.
      • Offer construction-phase support, including design clarifications, RFIs, and occasional site visits.
      • Support civil and structural design efforts for high-voltage substations and transmission projects ranging from approximately 60kV through 500kV.
      • Develop grading, drainage, and foundation solutions for substations, control buildings, and associated infrastructure.
      • Assist with transmission line civil scope, including foundation design, access planning, and site restoration concepts.
      • Coordinate closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure constructable, utility-compliant solutions.

      Essential Skills

      • Experience in civil design, especially in renewable energy and utility-scale projects.
      • Proficiency in high-voltage infrastructure projects.
      • Strong experience in grading, stormwater management, earthwork design, and civil coordination.
      • Experience with civil design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, PLS-CADD, or similar platforms.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
      • 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale power, renewable, or utility infrastructure projects.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • PE license preferred; open to candidates actively pursuing licensure.
      • Demonstrated experience in utility-scale solar, wind, or BESS projects (50MW+ preferred).
      • Experience in high-voltage substation or transmission line civil design.

      Work Environment

      This is a 100% remote position, open to candidates anywhere in the US (in the lower 48). Expect approximately 10–20% travel for client visits, project needs, or industry events. The role offers a collaborative work environment with a strong focus on team growth and development.

      This is a Permanent position based out of Centennial, CO.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
