What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) including analysis of aged AR and identifying root cause issues
- Handle denial management by investigating sources and resolving or appealing denials
- Make independent decisions regarding claim adjustments, resubmissions, and appeals
- Collaborate with internal teams and care center staff to optimize revenue cycle functionality
- Drive achievement of department's daily and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Graduate
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a physician medical billing office
- Proficiency with Athena EHR is highly required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with CareFirst MD
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage & USDOL
- Familiarity with major payers such as Anthem, Medicare/Medicaid, and United Healthcare
- Skills in denial analysis and resolution techniques
- Proficiency in using pivot tables and VLOOKUP in Excel
