What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers
- Schedule and manage patient access to clinical services in the Connected Care Center
- Process incoming referrals and verify patient demographics
- Conduct financial screening and confirm patient eligibility for healthcare coverage
- Prepare for patient visits by coordinating necessary documentation and accommodations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- One year of experience in a medical office setting with high-volume direct patient contact
- Thorough knowledge of Patient Access Services (PAS) policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and online scheduling
- Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated effectiveness in confrontational situations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- 2+ years of patient scheduling experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience working with electronic health records
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated reliable attendance record
