      Your Opportunity:

      The Clinical Administrator is responsible for providing clinical nutrition and product support within an IT context, working on the Nutrition Foods, Linen and Environmental Services (NFLES) IT Support team. Primary support duties will focus on the Timeless Medical Nutrition Platform (TMNP) application. Key Responsibilities: Gain a detailed understanding of NFLES applications requiring clinical nutrition knowledge (i.e. TMNP). Thorough understanding of nutrition and formula products used within AHS. Manage and maintain the Timeless Medical Nutrition Platform application configuration items (e.g. Printers, Locations, Products). Perform basic IT maintenance and support tasks across existing or new applications and technologies. Primary point of contact for clinical questions and concerns regarding IT application(s) (i.e. TMNP). Understanding of AHS clinical infant & pediatric feeding workflows to inform analysis and troubleshooting relative to IT application(s). Recommends processes, workflows, and use of products that meet safety and efficacy standards. Communicate effectively with clinicians relative to their use of IT applications and tools and articulate rationale for changes and/or enhancements to meet the needs of all stakeholders. Builds and maintains a network of contacts and resources within Nutrition Services, Digital Health and clinical areas. Liaises with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, patient care managers, other allied health care professionals. Maintains knowledge and expertise related to profession and area of practice (e.g. infant/ pediatric nutrition). Recognizes need for change across service areas and sets priorities accordingly. Enhance existing or document new support scenarios and resolution for reference and clarity. Participate in an on-call rotation.

      Description:

      As a Clinical Informatician, you will lead or participate in the customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems. You will develop and deploy information and systems solutions, drawing on expert clinical experience, and knowledge from their health discipline. Working in the field of Clinical Health Informatics will require you to incorporate the application of information technology to facilitate the creation and use of health related data, informatics aspects of safe, efficient, and effective health services for all Canadians.

      Required Qualifications:

      Completion of bachelor's degree in a health related field. Active registration with the applicable professional association or college.

      Additional Required Qualifications:

      Successfully completed the Canadian Dietetic Registration Exam (CDRE) and registration with a relevant provincial college.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      5+ years of experience as a dietitian preferred. Experience with Infant and Pediatric feeding and familiarity with Timeless Medical Nutrition Platform would be an asset. Basic understanding and familiarity with Epic/Connect Care. General understanding, comfort and willingness to learn computer applications and technology. Membership in Dietitians of Canada preferred.
