      Job Title: CNC Machinist

      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team for the day shift. The role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, with setup responsibilities occurring more than twice daily.

      Responsibilities

      • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes on a daily basis.
      • Perform more than two equipment setups per day.
      • Conduct measurements using Micrometers and CMMs.
      • Engage in higher-level machining tasks primarily during the day shift.
      • Lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

      Essential Skills

      • Proficiency in reading blueprints.
      • Experience as a machinist with CNC setup capabilities.
      • Familiarity with CNC mills and lathes.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Machine Tool Technology Degree is preferred, but not required.
      • Willingness to learn and be trained on CMMs if lacking prior experience.

      Work Environment

      Work in a smaller shop environment with roughly 10 manufacturing employees on the day shift and about 10 machines in total. The 1st shift hours are Monday to Thursday, 7 am - 4:30 pm, and Fridays 7 am - 11 am. For those interested in the 2nd shift, the hours are Monday to Thursday, 4:15 pm - 3 am. The role involves working with diverse equipment, including horizontal mills, Swiss lathes, and standard lathes. The position primarily focuses on daytime setups and machining, with training available for candidates who need experience with CMMs.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CLEAR LAKE, MN.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
