What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage student payment plan collections through established processes for current and former students
- Conduct telephone, mail, and email contact to collect outstanding account balances
- Track and report on weekly and quarterly metrics related to collections and productivity
- Work with students to establish payment arrangements and maintain accurate records
- Educate and counsel students about their account balances and payment plans
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of collections or business/accounting-related work experience
- Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is desired
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use multiple systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a higher education or similar environment
- Familiarity with automated dialing campaigns and collections processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
