Job Description

- Providing and developing strategic market advice through quantitative analytics as well as energy market research.
- Represent business area Markets in Assset Owner’s greenfield and M&A projects within offshore wind and coordinate deliverables from Markets to the projects.
- Deliver revenue assumptions and associated risk assessments to investment cases based on Statkraft’s price forecasts and market analysis
- Develop, analyse and present route-to-market options for Statkraft’s asset to optimize revenue potential and risk-reward ratios
- Implement and manage route-to-market decisions end-to-end, orchestrating various functions within BA Markets in close collaboration with the Asset Owner.
- Own, administer and organize the interface towards the Asset Owner through regular meeting points and contribute with market analysis and outlooks.
- Mature the department’s Single Point of Contact role towards the Asset Owner.
- Various asset owners and commercial teams within BA New Energy Solutions
- Various origination departments within BA Markets
- Various price forecasting teams within Statkraft
- Risk Management team within BA Markets
- Relevant higher education at Master´s level (Economics, Sciences, Engineering or similar)
- At least 2 years' experience within the Energy market sphere with understanding of power market fundamentals and understanding of the range of market products
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills
- Proven quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills
- Collaborative work style and strong interpersonal and team skills
- Ability to translate complex analysis into concrete and easily understandable recommendations and actions.
- Ability to effectively plan and lead processes to develop the department's function and interfaces.
- Experience from European and/or global energy markets equally attractive as experience from Nordics
- Management consulting background preferred but not a requirement.

Your department:
You will be part of the Asset Exposure Management (MA) unit within the Business Area Markets “M”. The unit leverages M’s deep market insight, excellence in market operations, and proficiency in providing market solutions for Statkraft’s assets in Nordics, Europe, and New Energy Solutions (Asset Owners) such as portfolio management, financial optimisation, hedging, and regulatory advisory. Further, we guide the asset owner with commercial strategy support and route-to-market options for the development pipeline of Statkraft’s future asset base. The role is vital to Statkraft’s growth ambitions and, you will be given responsibility from day one.
The Business Development and Commercial Support team was recently established and is growing and we’re recruiting Commercial Strategy Advisors for both Offshore Wind and Hydrogen. Your input and deliveries will play an instrumental role in securing success, with high possibilities to influence the role and deliverables.
As Senior Commercial Strategy Advisor you report to Vice President Business Development and Commercial Support.
