      Schedule:

      Hours scheduled between the hours of 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday with some evenings/weekends commitments, flexible scheduling. Regular one-on-one with your supervisor. Attending Morgridge Center training, staff meetings, and events as required.

      Qualifications:

      Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, creative and independent workers with good time management, strong writing, communication, and organizational skills. Applicants must be an enrolled UW undergrad for the 2026-27 academic year.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      Knowledge of community engagement (volunteering, community-based learning, etc)
      Strong facilitation and public speaking skills
      Ability to work well with both instructors and students
      Ability to work independently on a flexible schedule
      Demonstrates a commitment to the values of inclusion and responsible community engagement

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Community-based Learning (CBL) Course Support
      Provide logistical support for instructors with the development and/or implementation of CBL courses (e.g. utilizing Canvas, placing students with community organizations)
      Support CBL students in navigating the community-engaged aspects of the course (i.e. reaching out to community partners or accessing Morgridge Center transportation resources)
      Facilitate orientations and reflective activities to help prepare students for CBL and to make meaning of the experience
      Support instructors with the reflective elements of the course. This could include providing feedback on students' written reflections or helping to design reflection templates and activities.
      Assist with the evaluation of CBL experiences for students and community partners
      Other duties as assigned

      Workshop Coordination and Facilitation
      Facilitate and tailor workshops for various campus populations, including, but not limited to, student organizations, academic courses, and student employees. This includes presenting and leading discussions in front of small and large groups.
      Support the Morgridge Center's tabling and outreach efforts by educating audiences about the Center and ways students can connect to community engagement opportunities
      Attend regular staff meetings with the Community Engaged Scholarship Manager and other interns
