      Compensation Partner, Programs & Systems

      We’re looking for a key player for our Compensation team based in San Francisco as the Compensation Partner for Compensation Programs & Ops.This role will be at the heart of the core work our team does on Compensation programs, systems, operations, and data.

      What You’ll Be Doing

      Program Management:

      • Lead parts of Annual Compensation Cycle including Workday/RedCat design requirements, system testing, program management of market data and load in Workday/RedCat and other systems
      • Assist in the design and delivery of compensation programs to drive employee visibility and build manager capability
      • Represent Comp Programs & Operations team in collaborative project and system work, partnering with Talent, Accounting, PTech, People Operations and other teams to bridge the gap between comp needs and system functionality

      Data and Technology Efficiency:

      • Perform regular data uploads, audits and troubleshoot data and reports coming from HRIS (Workday) and other sources
      • Configuration of Workday compensation elements, i.e. creation and maintenance of: job profiles, compensation grade profiles, compensation ranges, compensation eligibility rules, compensation plans, hands-on experience and/or high level of comfort huge plus!
      • Lead implementation and calibration of new Compensation systems and onboarding of new Compensation vendors (i.e. Compa, Pave, etc.)
      • Partner with People team, stock administration, HRIS, finance, and recruiting to understand needs and suggest ways to apply technology to increase process efficiency across all groups
      • Create tools and resources to drive customer capability and build to scale efforts

      Data analytics:

      • Annual and as needed ad-hoc market analysis. Review and build salary structures. Experience with market pricing tools such as Payfactors is a plus. Experience with building, maintaining and analyzing technical and non-technical salary structures required.
      • Help create financial models and advanced analysis for budgeting and forecasting of our compensation investments
      • Timely data analysis to support Cruise's Compensation and people practices.

      Change Management and Process Design:

      • Develop comprehensive communications and training material to help drive deeper understanding of our compensation programs
      • Develop and socialize process documentation for new and/or historical processes
      • Partner with Total Rewards, Recruiting, People partners, HRIS, HR Ops to deliver seamless employee and candidate experience, some experience with ticketing systems a plus!

      What You Must Have

      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business, HR or equivalent work experience
      • Well-established Compensation foundational experience / expertise
      • Strong analytical experience (4-7 years experience in building financial models in excel or Google sheets. Tableau, SQL experience is a plus)
      • Experience working with large sets of structured and unstructured data to draw trends and insights, use data visualization to present complex matters in an easy manner
      • Detail orientation while not losing track of big picture, data cleanliness/integrity (must be a data maestro)
      • Experience with Workday/ RedCat (or other similar tool) in configuration or implementation capacity
      • Experience with Radford, Market Pay, or similar benchmarking tools
      • Ability to build strong partnerships and confidence to effectively communicate complex topics with ease
      • Self-starter, with strong ability to work with minimal direction, build and execute effective project plans
      • Strong work ethic and team-first attitude

      The salary range for this position is $115,400 - $169,700. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
