Job Description
- Req#: 17424
- Execute and monitor scheduled or requested production jobs to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Perform regular data backups for application and database systems to prevent data loss.
- Monitor system, network, and communication performance to ensure optimal uptime and availability.
- Log and report system issues, including hardware failures, network disruptions, and software bugs.
- Conduct first-level troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate technical teams.
- Maintain and update processing logs, run procedures manuals, and other documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors for preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with service checklists.
- Support business continuity exercises and ensure systems are prepared for disaster recovery scenarios.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, including information security and operational protocols.
- Collaborate with programmers and analysts to test and resolve system issues.

- Technical skills required of a Senior Computer Operator
- Strong troubleshooting and incident resolution skills
Network Related Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of IP Protocol, LAN/WAN topology (frame, DSL, Cellular, X.42, X.25, ATM, Satellite, Radio, PTP, Dial-up), intermediate knowledge of associated monitoring and troubleshooting tools (HPOV, HNS vision, Spectrum analyzers, solarwinds, whatsupgold), Data Center network equipment (firewalls, switches, routers, etc), and network cable specifications.
- Bachelor's degree or comparable experience
- Four plus years' experience in a data center operations environment preferred.
- Demonstrates strong performance leadership skills, including the ability to coach/mentor, deliver training, inspire and motivate others, objectively assess the performance of others and provide balanced feedback
- Displays the ability to lead the work of others effectively. Delegates work appropriately. Effectively leads and supports change.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $44,500 - $103,002 . The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
