      Continuous Improvement and Operations Manager

      PDPP Abilene, LLC in Abilene, TX seeks Continuous Improvement and Operations Manager. Develop and implement production strategies, standardize operational processes, and reduce costs, delays, and waste. Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies
      such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and PDCA to improve overall plant efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee daily operations to ensure production goals are met, with a strong focus on safety, Good Manufacturing Processing (GMP), and quality compliance. Conduct regular assessments of equipment performance in collaboration with the maintenance team to ensure optimal operation and identify areas for improvement. Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational methods, equipment, and safety manuals Perform Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the production process. Conduct time studies to assess product cycle times and identify opportunities for improvement in line balancing, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency. Utilize project management tools to monitor the progress of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, manage resources, and ensure effective communication across departments. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, GMPs, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) protocols, and collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain high standards. Conduct audits and monitor adherence to updated SOPs and safety protocols, taking corrective actions where necessary.

      Job Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, including: (i) Lean Manufacturing methods 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and PDCA; (ii) Value stream mapping, time studies, and root cause analysis; (iii) creating and managing operational enhancements of Standard Operating Procedures involving food safety; and (iv) Six Sigma Certification
