      THE JOB:
      As a Convention Porter at Mandalay Bay, you will be responsible for setting, striking, maintaining and cleaning any meeting and event spaces. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.


      THE STARTING RATE: $21.8083 USD Hourly

      THE DAY-TO-DAY:

      • Maintain and clean meeting rooms and event spaces before, during, and after events in accordance with departmental procedures.

      • Ensure public areas are kept clean and organized and remove unnecessary items from service areas.

      • Stock and organize any necessary carts with designated materials and equipment, transporting them to the assigned function area.

      • Inspect set rooms for cleanliness and agreement to group requirements. Refresh meeting rooms when needed or requested according to department standards.

      • Maintain complete knowledge of all departmental standards, daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, number of people, location of all Hotel function spaces, and names of rooms, all styles of meeting and Banquet room settings, and all safety and security guidelines.

      • Maintain linen inventory and stock in storage areas.

      • Set up rooms and any banquet function areas with designated tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, podiums, stanchions, easels, and other equipment as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards.

      • Set up table linens, skirting, and tabletop items (water pitchers, amenities, glasses, etc.) as specified by group and in accordance with departmental standards.

      • Breakdown Banquet function areas as scheduled in accordance with departmental procedures, storing all reusable goods and return equipment to specified storage areas.

      • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of closets, storerooms, and any storage areas; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; maintain floor cleanliness,


      THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

      • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

      • Experience in a similar resort setting preferred
