03/14/2024 - Serve as the instructional leader of Helena Public Schools that includes responsibility for the systemic implementation of the K-12 program, including standards, curriculum, instruction, and professional learning, in all elementary grade levels and for all Middle School/High School core content areas.
- Manage a cohesive learning system consistent with the district's vision, mission, strategic initiatives, and policies.
- In collaboration with the Director of Assessment, ensure effective assessment practices. Make data driven decisions and adjustments to the curriculum program.
- Establish and maintain systems, processes, and practices that ensure students are fully ready for success at their next level be it middle school, high school, post-secondary career or college.
- Develop, in collaboration with principals, instructional coaches and curriculum committee members, professional learning programs for teachers, support staff, and administrators to assist in raising the level of instructional performance and student achievement.
- Master's degree (M.A.) in educational leadership or in curriculum and instruction.
- A minimum of three years teaching experience that includes a broad based knowledge of effective instructional strategies.
- A valid teaching licensure with administrative endorsement.
- Successful experience designing and delivering professional learning, engaging a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in the area of instructional coaching preferred.
- Experience or training in curriculum and instruction preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to become an expert on curriculum, Montana Curriculum Standards and methods of instruction for the district.
- Successful experience designing and delivering professional learning, engaging a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to plan, organize, provide leadership, and work collaboratively with mid to large-sized teams.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to create trusting and productive relationships.
- Work effectively with computer and software programs to perform the duties of the position; learn and utilize District applications.

Entry Salary: $115,000.00 per year and comprehensive benefit package.
