Job Title: Customer Service Rep
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 2 Years
Location: Virtual, Georgia 30339
Shift: 1st Shift
Role Overview
• Support patient access by verifying insurance coverage and managing prior authorization requests
• Coordinate with physician offices, payers, and internal teams to ensure therapy approvals
• Assist with authorization submissions, follow-ups, and appeals when required
Responsibilities
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
• Identify prior authorization requirements and initiate authorization requests
• Coordinate documentation including clinical notes and required forms for submission
• Follow up with payers to track authorization status and approvals
• Assist with appeals for prior authorization denials or special cases
• Communicate coverage issues or authorization updates with stakeholders
• Maintain records and update CRM systems with authorization details
• Use Excel and internal systems to track and manage authorization requests
• Provide support to physicians, sales representatives, payer representatives, and internal teams
Must Have
• Experience handling prior authorizations or insurance verification
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of payer authorization processes
• Basic familiarity with ICD-9 / ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work with multiple CRM systems
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
• Experience in healthcare, medical device, or insurance environments
• Experience working with physician offices and payer representatives
• Knowledge of therapy-related medical billing codes
• Experience handling authorization appeals or complex case
