- Communicating parking, transportation, and bike valet information to customers
- Handling cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely
- Supporting the Bike Valet program, including:
- Standing for extended periods (up to 4+ hours)
- Operating outdoors in all weather conditions
- Tagging and retrieving bicycles efficiently and carefully
- Assisting with special events, including evenings and weekends
- Staffing the Transportation Information Center in the Student Union Building (SUB)
- Performing data entry and helping maintain customer records and files
- Participating in promotional and sustainability-related outreach activities
- Completing other duties as assigned to support the department
- Must be a current student at the University of New Mexico enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, in a degree seeking program.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Availability to work at least a 4-hour shifts
- Open availability during the week to work shifts of at least 3-4 consecutive hours, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Preference given to those who can work Monday - Friday mornings from 7:30am until noon
- A work-study award recipient
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week
- Prior point of sale (cash & credit cards) and customer service experience
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable with physical activity, including standing and moving for extended periods
- Must pass a pre-employment background check (required for selected candidates)
