      Responsibilities

      Peraton seeks a Cyber Defensive Operator to support INSCOM Enterprise Cybersecurity Services Support (ECSS)

      Location: Fort Belvoir, VA.

      Compliance and reporting team provides technical analysis and evaluation of hosting environments configurations and operations, including self-assessments, verifications, validations, log analysis and reporting, vulnerability management and reporting for hosted environment across the Command. Tasks include:• Serve as key member of a small team providing IAVM; scanning analysis and reporting on NIPR/SIPR/ JWICS; data compilation, assessment and results justification for recurring reports; compliance with Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), Operations Orders (OPORDs), and Requests for Information (RFIs); and cyber tool compliance.• Validate compliance and system status with enterprise tools (e.g., ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds, HBSS, CICO ISE, and Active Directory) and deliver weekly and monthly reports. Identify shortcomings of tools used to communicate residual assessment needs.• Provide requirements to Splunk/HBSS engineers to maintain leader dashboards on compliance status on all networks (N/S/J). Assesses performance of tools using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Prepares monthly assessments of network cyber tools (HBSS and Splunk).• Evaluate CTO requirements, develop scanning plans to meet them. Prepare and run ACAS scripts to support scanning requirements on all networks (N/S/J) and coordinate additional scans from other tool SMEs in order to meet CTO requirements.• Coordinate with and track compliance in subordinate INSCOM regions to include regional data in reports.• Performs Network Security Scanners using tools like DoD’s Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) for vulnerability scanning. Reviews scan results to ensure that the applications being placed on the network adhere to the DoDI 8500.2 and the transformation to 8510.01 (RMF) guidance.

      Qualifications

      Required:

      • BS 10-12, MS 8-10, Phd 5-7. Will consider: HS+16 Years
      • Expertise using cyber tools (ACAS required and Splunk strongly desired) to identify anomalous behavior in scan logs and critical malware issues
      • Experience in compliance report production (for network devices in multiple domains (N/S/J))
      • Experience in automating network scans and response based on specified criteria (ticket, quarantine, etc).
      • Requires CSSP Analyst Certification
      • Requires DOD 8570 IAM Level II certification
      • Active TS/SCI Clearance (Poly preferred)

      Desired:

      • Experience with Gabriel Nimbus or other Big Data Platform
      • Familiarity with Splunk
      • Familiarity with other tools like SolarWinds, HBSS, CICO ISE, and Active Directory queries

      Hours: HQ INSCOM core hours are 0900 - 1500. Contractor personnel for this client are expected to work an 8-hour workday and a 40-hour workweek. Prior to working outside of normal hours of operation, coordination must be made.

      Target Salary Range

      $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
