ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.
1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:
a. Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine.
b. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures.
c. Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to provide superior guest service.
d. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
2. Dealing the game and monitoring the monies of the table at all times, as well as, paying wins and collecting losing bets as established by the rules and procedures of a specific game.
3. Controlling gaming cards and equipment.
4. Responsible for analyzing customer play for cheating scams and suspicious variations in play.
5. Exchange paper currency for playing chips or coin money.
6. Answer questions about game rules and casino policies.
7. Responsible for regular and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.
8. Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including but not limited to, resolving minor guest disputes and assist in ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees.
9. Knowledge of all special events and promotional activities available to guest
10. Other duties as assigned.
MARGINAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Keep table area clean and neat.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The position is responsible to the Floor Supervisor for successful performance of assigned duties.
EQUIPMENT/PHYSICAL SKILLS
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, the following:
Playing cards and dice
Chips and money
Gaming table, shoe, and paddle
Coin banks / chip trays
Roulette wheels and sticks
ESSENTIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
1. Ability to work shifts as scheduled.
2. Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
3. Good hand-eye coordination and ability to see details at close range.
4. Knowledge of specified games and gaming regulations.
5. Ability to add numbers, monies and chips.
6. Knowledge of theft techniques.
7. Excellent customer service and communication / active listening skills.
8. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The following list of physical attributes is intended to be an approximation of the demands expected to be placed on an employee filling this role. Physical demands include, but are not limited to, the following:
Standing – 80 to 90%
Walking – 10 to 20%
Reaching – consistently throughout shift
Repetitive hand motions –50%
Casino environment exposed to various temperatures, smoke, dust and fumes, bright lights, and excessive noise levels. May include boat and/or floating barge. High rise hotel and atrium. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Use of stairs, elevators, and / or escalators.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Prior experience in dealing specified game a must. Complete all company-required training within designated time frames.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Ability to obtain and hold a Louisiana Responsible Vendor's card. Ability to obtain and hold any and all licenses, certifications, insurance coverage or any other indemnifications which may be required by the company for the successful completion of the duties associated with this position. Must be able to obtain and hold a valid gaming license.
