      About the position:
      At Hydro, we understand the pivotal role of digital communication in positioning our brand among stakeholders. To strengthen our capabilities in this ever-changing landscape and expand our global outreach, we are looking for a skilled Digital & Social Media Advisor.
      In this truly global position, you will be at the forefront of operationalizing Hydro’s digital and social media strategy, reporting directly to the Head of Global Brand Communications.
      As a vital part of the Group Communication & Public Affairs team, you will play an important role in enhancing Hydro’s global reputation. This team is focused on delivering top-tier internal and external strategic communication services, closely collaborating with Hydro’s Business Areas, managing significant reputation projects, advising top management on strategic communication, and overseeing the creation and management of content across various channels for both internal and external audiences.

      Areas of responsibility:

      • Operationalize and enhance Hydro’s social media strategy while managing the company’s global social media profiles, mainly on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
      • Seek, develop, copywrite and publish engaging content in a timely and consistent manner.
      • Initiate, manage, monitor and optimize paid social media campaigns.
      • Build and nurture collaboration within Group and Business Areas to source, develop, and promote compelling content across digital channels.
      • Lead Hydro's global social media network by offering guidance and support to social media editors throughout the organization.
      • Act as brand safeguard for social media applications, ensuring visual expression is in line with branding guidelines.
      • Manage all social media applications like Brandwatch, Later, etc.
      • Provide monthly, quarterly and yearly reports around digital activities.
      • Craft content for digital media platforms that aligns with our communication strategy, while maintaining the company’s tone of voice and desired associations.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
      • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
      • In-depth understanding of digital and social media channels, their trends and unique features.
      • A track record of executing successful digital campaigns.
      • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills combined with a creative and visually oriented mindset.
      • Proficiency in LinkedIn campaign manager, Meta business manager, Google Ads/SEM, SEO, and digital analytics.
      • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
      • Norwegian proficiency is a plus.
      • Previous experience in corporate communication within an international setting is advantageous.
      • An independent, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who thrives in a team setting. Hands-on approach, with a strategic mindset capable of identifying compelling stories and tailoring them to the appropriate channels.

      Additional Information:
      Communication & Public Affairs in Hydro is a world-wide organization. The department is closely integrated with Hydro’s operations and businesses, with a total of approximately 50 people working in a broad range of fields.
