      Position Summary:

      Coach, lead and serve District Sales Managers in Training, Territory Sales Manager II, and Territory Sales Managers such that districts/territories managed achieve and exceed revenue goals.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

      Technical
      • Provide communication structure for direct reports
      • Provide sales plan for area of accountability including inputs from direct reports.
      • Maintain morale and clarity of company goals for direct reports.
      • Offer clinical and scientific perspective in the development and refinement of laboratory tests, profiles, and reports under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer.
      • Assist with the development of educational materials and collaborates with members of the laboratory, graphics, information services and marketing in the development of such materials.

      • Will spend up to 40% of time in the field with existing clients and direct reports.
      • Represent the company at professional meetings and conferences by staffing the company booth and being available to other physicians for educational consultation and support.
      • Represent the laboratory in outreach educational activities such as in-services and presentations at professional meetings on laboratory assessment and interpretation.
      • Display informal leadership. Team with established account sales representatives and work closely with product managers, research and development, quality assurance/quality control specialists, members of the sales and marketing staff, and Chief Medical Officer.
      • Interact and matrix with all departments within the company.

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      This job has direct supervisory responsibilities of District Sales Managers in Training, Territory Sales Managers, and Territory Sales Manager II in their area of accountability.

      Qualifications:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidates must have the following skills and attributes: familiarity with company products; background in life sciences, particularly health care, pharmaceutical & wellness; ability to develop effective and persuasive presentations to doctors/physicians, clinics, labs, health & wellness spa and public groups; ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints; ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems; ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.); ability to read medical literature in a discerning fashion; numbers driven, pioneer, self-starter, flexible to work in a small, fast-paced organization. Candidates should exhibit a passion and sincere interest in wellness and optimal health. Communication (written and spoken), interpersonal skills, and carry a core principal of positive work and personal ethic: integrity, service and team support.       Education and/or Experience:
      A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred for this position; extra preference is given to a focus in life sciences. Also requires 5+ years sales consultative sales experience, which includes formal sales training on standard solution/consultative sales process. Track record growing a territory strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and produce excellent results in others.

      Computer Skills:

      To perform this job successfully candidates must have experience with sales automation and case management software, e.g. Salesforce.com and with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
